  1. News of this group has reach me today via the Oxford network. I’m a South African who has been in Oxford a long time as a fellow and tutor in English at St Hilda’s College. I’d like to be kept informed of your events, if that’s feasible. I’m a biographer (Eliot, Emily Dickinson, etc) who has written a South African memoir of women’s friendship called ‘Shared Lives’ (Virago, 2005) – about three women who died young – and another South African memoir, ‘Divided Lives: Dreams of a Mother and Daughter’ is due to be published by Virago in May 2014.

    • Dear Lyndall, did anyone ever get back to you about this? For some reason I wasn’t alerted when your message was posted, and only just saw it by chance. This year’s conference will be held in Cambridge, and it would be great if you could join us here.

  2. Dear Writing South Africa Now, my name is Kobus Moolman. I am a South African poet, playwright and senior lecturer in creative writing at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I champion your endeavour, and would love to be kept informed of all events. Good luck with your conference.

  3. Dear Writing South Africa Now, Please put me on your mailing list. I am the curator of the Africa! anthologies; McGregor Poetry Festival anthologies; and co-edit, with Douglas Reid Skinner, the new South African poetry quarterly, Stanzas. Good luck with your 2015 Conference. With best wishes, Patricia Schonstein
